Hi. I'm Liz.

Liz DaSilva + Photography:                                         I've been photographing weddings and portraits professionally since 2004. I got my start assisting some truly brilliant photographers. In 2013, I started a life of travel onboard a ship, where I mix my love of wild places and Hipstamatic photography.  I spend summers in Alaska, and winters in Mexico.

Photography started with my mom. I had a very well-documented childhood. Mom's creative talents inspired me to find my own forms of expression. I've played with painting, pottery, dance, writing and the harmonica (poorly, but with enthusiasm). Photography has been the one constant.

What inspires me is human ritual - the things we've been doing since the beginning of time, in some form or another.  Art, storytelling, weddings, birth, family, music... all expressions of life, and the desire to contribute to and connect with each other.

Also inspired by:  shadow patterns, sacred geometry, the smell of beeswax, perfectly-ripe avocados, rainbows, caipirinhas on a hot day, antique store treasures, salsa verde, quirky questions, latte art, lovingly prepared meals, unexpected bursts of laughter, and the textures of tree bark.

I look forward to meeting you. - Liz
